About NetTakeHome

Last updated October 24, 2026

In short: NetTakeHome builds free calculators that show what you actually keep after taxes, fees and expenses, for gig workers, freelancers and small business owners. No signup needed, and nothing you type into a calculator is saved or sent anywhere.

What we do

Apps, invoices and bank dashboards show you what you earned. We show what you keep. Every calculator answers one practical question, such as what a delivery offer really pays per hour, what to charge as a freelancer, or whether an S-corp would save you money.

Gig Worker Toolkit8 calculators for rideshare and delivery drivers: real hourly pay, offers, car costs, mileage and taxes. Freelancer Toolkit8 calculators: hourly rate, project quotes, self-employment tax, side hustle profit and more. Business Toolkit9 calculators: S-corp savings, LLC costs by state, paying yourself, hiring, cash runway and loans.

Our guides explain the rules behind the numbers in plain English, with a working calculator on the page.

How we keep the numbers accurate

Our results are estimates for planning. They are not tax, legal or financial advice. For decisions about your own situation, talk to a qualified professional.

How we make money

NetTakeHome is free. Next to some calculator results we recommend tools that fit the job, such as invoicing, bookkeeping, mileage tracking or business formation. Some of these are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partners never see or influence your calculator inputs or results. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Independence

NetTakeHome is independent. We are not affiliated with DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Amazon Flex or any other app we write about, and we are not a tax preparation or accounting firm. App and product names are used only to describe the work or the tool.
